Archives Doors Open Days
Doors Open Day for the Archives
Saturday 17th Sept - Pre booked tours morning and Afternoon: phone 01382 434494 to book.
This will provide an opportunity to discover the variety of records held in the City Archives which reflect many aspects of the history of Dundee, including its built environment, from the time of Robert Bruce to the present. The office is housed in the Caird Hall complex which opened in 1923.
Volunteers will be on hand to demonstrate the work they are doing to make the records more accessible to the public. There will also be an opportunity to view 1920s stained glass windows in the former Education Authority offices. As numbers are limited booking is essential. To book telephone 01382 434494.
