Transcription of the testament of Robert Keyll, merchant in Dundee and indweller in Veere,
recorded in the registers of Edinburgh Commissary Court, 23 July 1680,

The testament dative and inventar adomissa of the goods and debts pertaining and adebted to wmq[uhi]ll Ro[ber]t Kyll m[e]r[chan]d in Dundie and recidenter in Campheir the tyme of his deceas wha deceast in the month of [-] 166[-] years omited out of the confirmed testament be David Mudie m[e]r[chan]d in muntrose prin[cipa]ll exec[uto]r dative Quha creditor confirmed to him be the Comisars of Ed[inbu]r[gh] upon the 20 day of ja[nua]rij 1680 years And now faithfullie made and given upe be W[illia]m Bailzie mer[chan]d in Inuerness only exe[cuto]r dative ad omissa decerned as creditor to the s[ai]d wmq[uhi]ll defunct In sua far as the s[ai]d wmq[uhi]ll Ro[ber]t Kyll be his band sub[scrivi]t w[it]h his hand of the dait 5 dece[mbe]r 1676 band and obleist him his airs executors and successors to have payed and delyvered to the s[ai]d W[illia]m Bailzie his airs, exec[utor]s or assi[gn]es the some of viijc~ marks scotts betuixt the tearme of mertimes 1677 yearis butt delay w[it]h ij s. of liquidat expenssis in caice of failzie and a[nnual]rent therafter during the not payment as the s[ai]d band of the dait fors[ai]d Reg[ist]rat in the Comisaris books of Inuerness wpon the 26 of feb[rua]rij 1678 bears And therfor the s[ai]d W[illia]m Bailzie is only exe[cuto]r dative ad omissa decerned as creditor to the s[ai]d Ro[ber]t Kyll for pay[men]t and satisfaction to him of the soumes of money prin[cip]a]ll a[nnual]rents bygone and to come & liquidat expenss[e]s above written after the tenor of the fors[ai]d bond in all pay[me]nts Extending the s[ai]d soume prin[cipa]ll and liquidat expenss[e]s & a[nnual]rents at whitsonday 1680 in the haill to the soume of vijc~liiij lib~ 13 s~ 4 d~ And sicklyke for payment of the charges & expenss[e]s of confirmation of this present Testament in sua far as the s[ai]d defunct his debts wnderwritten will extend to and as may be recovered be him th[e]rof & that by dec[ree]t of the Comisars of Ed[inbu]r[gh] as the samen of the dait the [-] day of jan[uar]ij1680 years bears.

In the first there was resting owing to the s[ai]d wmq[uhi]ll Ro[ber]t Kyll the tyme of his deceas forsaid and omitted out of his s[ai]d prin[cipa]ll Confirmed Testament be the said [-] prin[cipa]ll exe[cutor]s Be William Fraiser of Farmonay by band daited 17 october 1671 The soume of ijc~lib~ scotts & which is signed be the s[ai]d defunct to the s[ai]d W[illia]m Bailzie conforme to his assignatione daited the 3 of jully 1678. Suma of the debts ouen be the dec[ease]d adomissa ijc~ lib~ Sua the debts extends the goods in the some of vc~ liiij lib~ 13 s 4 d S[ir] David Falconer Understanding ue decerne wherupon Walter Wilson wryter in Ed[inbu]r[gh] becam Cau[tione]r as ane act made th[e]ranent bears.
