The Howff Graveyard of Dundee

The MortCloth records

Prior to the late 18th Century records were not kept of burials in the Howff - but we do have records of the use of the Mortcloth - This was hired out by the Guildry and Trades for covering coffins/bodies before burial in the Howff, The Mortcloth records cover the period 1655 to 1817 and can be used to trace more people buried in the Howff.
